Overview

Locals living near San José frequent the area, especially during the weekends and holidays. Just a short distance away, Carara National Park offers accessible hiking trails through pristine rainforest, plus one of the best birding spots in all of Costa Rica, boasting nearly 400 species of colorful birds.

Families will enjoy the playground and calm waters of Playa Herradura cove. A little further north, the scenic coves of Playa Mantas and Playa Blanc beckon.

What To Do
