Jalisco has its own miniature version of America’s Grand Canyon, the Río Grande de Santiago, on the northeast side of Guadalajara. It is sixteen miles long and from two to five miles wide.
Located near Guadalajara’s city center, the colorful town of Tlaquepaque was founded by Totonac natives who preceded the Spaniards.
The area offers charming galleries, shops, and cafes nestled amid quaint cobblestone streets.
