When to Go
The best time to visit Mazatlán is in the fall, especially in October or November. During winter months, average high temperatures in Mazatlán remain in the upper 70s F with little rain. Wintertime is also peak cruise season, so expect afternoon crowds.
From June through September, temperatures peak in the high 90s. The Mazatlán Cultural Festival, organized by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, lasts from October to December, and the Spring Cultural Festival takes place between February and June.
The town also celebrates Carnaval around March.
