Overview
This venerated Andean highlands valley known for its natural beauty is home to a plethora of picturesque villages, including Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Traditional Pisac is renowned for its handicraft and farmer’s markets, but even more famous for the vast Incan complex that looms large over the town. Ollantaytambo, which marks the beginning of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, also boasts an expansive Inca fortress and some of the oldest continuously inhabited buildings in South America.
