When to Go
Late spring and summer are warm, humid and see frequent rainfall. Fall is temperate, while winter is cold and snowy. Attractions such as theme parks operate seasonally and are often closed winter through early spring, so be aware when booking your travel. The fall colors of the Smoky Mountains are breathtaking – if you’re interested, plan on visiting the last few weeks of October, but keep in mind traffic will be heavier as fellow foliage enthusiasts cruise the highway.
