Montana Vacations & Travel Tips
When to Go
While summer (June-August) is the routine peak season for Montana, Winter (December-March) presents advantageous adventure as well. It all just depends on the adventure being sought out. Summer allows for longer, warmer days with less rain, which is ideal for hiking, biking, camping. This is also the time when Montana’s most popular festivals are being held. Winter is the best time for snow sports such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Spring (March-May) offers a temperate climate, with highs in the 50’s-70’s, green valleys, and flowers are in bloom. Spring is the ideal time for viewing or photographing wildlife.
