When to Go
The weather favors Reno with 300 days of sunshine per year. Sitting in the shadows of the Sierra Nevadas, the city also receives an annual rainfall of around 7.5 inches. The region remains mostly dry between April and the end of October. Summer brings temperatures into the mid-80s F, while winter offers an average low of around 50 F, sometimes colder. Snow falls from November through March, and even longer in nearby Tahoe.
